For as long as I can remember, real estate has been a huge part of my life, if not part of my DNA. Since I was 5 years old, my father, a self-employed contractor used to show me which properties he just purchased, why he purchased it and what he intended to do with it. I tried to help him in any way I could.

Throughout my teenage years I helped manage his properties while having a front row seat to how he conducted his business. Whether it was negotiating a deal, going the extra mile for a customer or agreeing to the terms of a contract with just a handshake, he always told me: "Miguel, the most important part of business is your credibility. With no credibility you have no business". Little did I know these are all the life skills that would prove to be invaluable in helping me become the person I am today.

These experiences made me appreciate not only hard, physical work, but also the impact that "Negotiating" "Customer satisfaction" and "Trust" can have on your credibility. As a professional who holds a CNE designation as a "Certified Negotiation Expert" and a license as both a Real Estate Sales Representative and a Mortgage Agent, I constantly look for new and resourceful ways to expand my professional knowledge.
